We had a wonderful experience with Athenian Tours during our guided visit to the Acropolis. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. She paced the tour thoughtfully, giving us well‑timed breaks in the shade where some could sit, all of us could rehydrate, and we could enjoy another fascinating story. Even as the pathways grew more crowded, she was easy to follow and always made sure the entire group stayed together.

We chose to split our experience over two days—the outstanding Acropolis Museum on one day and the Acropolis tour on another—which worked beautifully. Watching a few YouTube videos beforehand about the Parthenon and the Nashville replica also added extra meaning to what we saw in person.

Both the Acropolis and its museum are essential stops for any visit to Athens. Our 8 a.m. tour time was ideal, helping us manage the physical effort in cooler temperatures. We’re truly grateful to Athenian Tours for guiding us through these unforgettable treasures of world history.

We booked the Acropolis and Museum tour with tickets through Athenian Tours just two days before our visit after another tour company let us down, and we’re so glad we did.

Our guide, Lydia, was exceptionally organized and managed to pack an impressive amount of information, historical context, and visual references into a relatively short tour. Some people might find her pace a little faster than usual, but we actually appreciated it, especially given the huge crowds that day—which will likely only increase as the summer season reaches its peak.

We learned so much throughout the tour. Lydia pointed out the best photo spots and highlighted the most significant and memorable artifacts and landmarks, helping us make the most of our visit.

She also made a consistent effort to keep the entire group together and regularly reminded everyone about the slippery marble surfaces, which showed genuine care and concern for the group’s safety.

Went for a 2 hour walk up the magnificent Acropolis in Athens with Margherita - their fantastic guide. The tour was excellent, the guide’s knowledge of the subject and her myriad stories kept us riveted.
